Vervoer

Je bent klaar met uitchecken. Tijd om naar de uitgang te gaan. Heb je al een taxi op bestemming geboekt. Zo ja dan zoek je de persoon die je gaat vervoeren. Meestal staan ze met naam bordjes te wachten op je.  Heb je geen taxi geboekt dan moet je naar een balie gaan. Meestal is dat de informatie balie in de centrale hal waar mensen het vliegveld in en uit gaan. Daar kan je een taxi boeken. Vaak moet je dan wel nog wachten op een taxi. Dat kan even duren. 

Check altijd het bedrijf waar je een taxi boekt. Een slecht aangeschreven bedrijf moet je zoveel mogelijk vermijden. Kijk ook of je voor de prijs met een taxi naar je hotel of iets anders wilt. De meeste taxi's en zeker nu zijn erg duur. Als er een tram of metro of bus beschikbaar is raad ik aan om die te kiezen. Een metro kaartje kost ongeveer 5 euro. Een taxi rit kost veel meer. Dat is per land, per bedrijf verschillend. 

Elke taxi chauffeur is anders. De ene is dood stil en praat totaal niet. En de andere houd wel van een praatje. Ook rijgedrag is per persoon anders. Je moet maar net de goeie treffen. Dit kan je niet van tevoren weten. 

conclusie: kijk voor je op reis gaat even op internet wat voor vervoermogelijkheden er zijn. De meeste grote steden hebben een metro. Die is een stuk goedkoper dan een taxi. Mocht dat er niet zijn, check dan welke taxi bedrijven er zijn en hoe duur. Zeker nu in deze tijden is alles behoorlijk duur. 

Transport

You have finished checking out. Time to head for the exit. Have you already booked a taxi at your destination? If yes, then you are looking for the person you will be transporting. Usually they are waiting for you with name signs. If you have not booked a taxi, you must go to a counter. Usually this is the information desk in the central hall where people go in and out of the airport. You can book a taxi there. Often you still have to wait for a taxi. That may take a while.

Always check the company where you book a taxi. You should avoid a poorly regarded company as much as possible. Also check whether you want to take a taxi to your hotel or something else for the price. Most taxis and especially now are very expensive. If there is a tram or metro or bus available I recommend choosing it. A metro ticket costs about 5 euros. A taxi ride costs much more. This differs per country and per company.

Every taxi driver is different. One is dead silent and does not speak at all. And the other likes to chat. Driving behavior also differs from person to person. You just have to hit the right one. You cannot know this in advance.

conclusion: before you go on a trip, check the internet to see what kind of transport options there are. Most major cities have a subway. It is much cheaper than a taxi. If there is not, check which taxi companies there are and how expensive. Especially now in these times everything is quite expensive.
